Tom Gould


Tom Gould is an award-winning Director and Photographer originally hailing from Aotearoa New Zealand. 

With an early fascination for music, mischief, sports, and storytelling, Tom has developed a unique ability to connect with real people and authentic stories. His work seamlessly combines cinematic artistry with emotional depth, aiming to inspire compassion in his viewers.

Tom has left an indelible mark on the world of iconic brands, collaborating with the likes of Ralph Lauren, NBA, adidas, Nike and Vans.

His latest film ‘This Is Not a Boot’ for Timberland, documented the brand’s 50-year history and the global impact of the iconic Yellow Boot. The film featured an impressive array of cultural icons, including Rakim, Goldie, Fat Joe, Angie Martinez, ASAP Ferg, Raekwon and Misa Hylton. 

Additionally, Tom’s hard-cover book and documentary short titled, ‘Bury Me With The Lo On’, told the history of a New York boosting crew of the late 80’s and early 90’s called the Lo Lifes; a group who heavily influenced Ralph Lauren’s brand positioning and played a significant role in bringing Polo Ralph Lauren to prominence in the hip-hop fashion scene.

His work has been published and exhibited in esteemed institutions, including MoMA, the Institute of Contemporary Arts, and the British Film Institute. Tom also co-created the Viceland TV sensation, 'F*ck, That's Delicious,' with the inimitable Action Bronson.
