Jim Fenwick is a UK based photographer known for his documentary approach and evocative storytelling. Growing up across Nigeria, Bangladesh, Italy, and Britain, he developed a deep curiosity about people and place. Creativity has always been his outlet, first through painting, eventually leading him to photography.
His work explores themes of identity, endurance, and resilience, celebrating community and human connections. Jim often employs subtle palettes and cinematic techniques to deepen his narratives.In 2024 he was awarded second place in the Landscape category at the Sony World Photography Awards, exhibited at Somerset House London and Fotofestival Lenzburg, published in Portrait of Britain, and had multiple pieces in the AOP awards.
This year, his series ‘Wildfires of Palermo’ is nominated for the Prix Pictet.
