Niall O’Brien directs for the Met Police
‘The Job’ is a new film directed by Niall for the Met and AMV. The piece highlights the often harsh realities of being a Police Officer in London; the highs and lows, the risks, the ridiculous call outs, paperwork, excitement, effects on life outside the job and the bad press. Despite the downsides, those who work for the Met, wouldn’t want to do any other job. Working with minimal crew, Niall rode along in boats, helicopters, vans and unmarked police cars to capture dawn raids, accidents, drug busts and other real action around the city. AMV’s deputy ECD’s Steve Jones & Martin Loraine wrote the script, Mark Strong recorded the voiceover and it was edited by Simon Harwood at the Assembly Rooms.
