Jakob Marky Collects the ‘After Bergman’ Prize
Jakob has been awarded the hugely prestigious "After Bergman" prize, a scholarship given annually by Sweden's Bergman Center since Ingmar Bergman's death.
Chosen from 65 other shortlisted entries, Jakob was presented the award towards development of his short film script "Fugue", which he plans to shoot later this year.
The jury described Jakob's winning contribution as: "An exciting script, very visual and with many levels - both psychological and social narrative. A state of mind, man, and perhaps a nation on the brink of collapse. An exile's melancholy that provides new images of a cosmopolitan Sweden."
